Welcome to the Library of Congress Kalpa Course

"The Library of Congress: Your Primary Source for e-Learning." I was part of the a group of 20 teachers who were trained in using Library of Congress Resources. Let me be your Library of Congress Mentor. Earn up to 3 KALPA hours.--Barbara Clark

Did you know that teachers can access over 13 million digitized primary sources? Find out how to access Michigan Material by state standards; give your students access to puzzles, writing contests, and family literacy activities; find teacher lessons, historical photos, historical documents and more. Attend the first session and earn an additional KALPA hour on your own time. The session will focus 3 major components: 1) location of digitized materials to enhance current lessons with LC Materials, 2) how LOC primary resources can be used to promote inquiry-based learning, and 3) access to professional development modules and supplemental material. Click below and post subjects and or topics you are most interested in to make the session more meaningful for you. Join the wiki below and post topics or subjects you want to learn more about on my LC Wiki http://clark09.wikis.birmingham.k12.mi.us/Library+of+Congress+Teacher+Interests
